Bugsy Siegel’s Flamingo Hotel and Casino is still going strong. Built in 1946, the hotel offers a range of attractions including an aquatic habitat full of flamingos and other species of exotic birds to explore!

Bugsy Siegel’s original Las Vegas Flamingo Hotel was built in 1946 by his gangster buddies on land leased from rancher John O’Donnell. The building cost $6 million USD and took 3 years to complete; its opening party lasted for five days straight with more than 5,000 guests attending each day (more people than lived at that time within 100 miles). In 2021 – 65+ years after it opened – this iconic landmark has been crowned as one-of-a-kind amongst all hotels on the Las Vegas Strip.
